What A Session With Wendy Hill, Ph.D. Would Be Like: One

Over the years I, Wendy Hill, Ph.D., have learned from many clients that being my client is different than any experience they have had with other therapists and that the is different from any therapy they have previously experienced. It is true that my approach is unique, non-traditional, and in the opinion of my clients superior to what you would experience in typical therapy. Why superior? Simple. Clients who are ready and willing to do the work necessary to change their lives get results that are lasting in a relatively short time. This therapy is fast when compared to the many, many months and often years needed to make a significant change.  Quick and significant results is what I was going for when I opened my door as a therapist many years ago. So here is submission One (before the first session) to give you a bird’s eye view of what it would be like to be my client.

The first thing you will notice is that I will spend time talking with you on the telephone when you make that initial call. It’s very important to me that we be a match. It takes a bit of time for both of us to get a feeling about that. I need to know if I can truly help you with what you are experiencing. You need to know if I indeed can help you and that you are in capable and compassionate hands.  The next thing you may notice is that I encourage you to come in for a two hour session. One hour (or in many cases with other therapists, forty five or fifty minutes) flits by too quickly. Just when you are getting into the “meat” of things it’s time to leave. Second I recommend that you read something posted on the home page of my website, www.wendyhill.com. It’s an abbreviated chapter from my book, The True Seeker’s Guide To A Better Life, named Your Original Programming. By the way, if you become my client you get my book for free. Often times with this first conversation you are already on your way to a better life. Stay tuned for more submissions and learn how working with me is different from traditional or typical therapy.
