Have you heard someone say, “She’s showing her age.” It’s a common comment and implies that somehow it’s a shameful thing for a woman to age. I personally find that kind of comment and the attitude behind it to be shameful in itself, especially since I am a woman who is aging. Inside I am vital, alive, and have a great deal to give. I want what’s within me to be recognized, not to be shamed for when I was born. My message to all women is to celebrate wherever you are in life. Change is a part of life and like all phases in life aging has its benefits. Make wisdom and loving actions be yours. Become a teacher of life. Don’t apologize for your age. Celebrate it. Consider forgetting the plastic surgery and embrace your aging as a wonderful opportunity to give and be fully yourself.
