Ultimately what heals is the experience of unconditional love. Not just the thought that you are loved. Not just someone loving you. Not just telling yourself or someone telling you that you are loved. What heals is the experience of love. The experience of love is nothing less than transformative. It changes your chemistry, your breathing, your brain, your body. It changes your attitudes and beleifs and it heals all wounds from the past. The experience of unconditional love is so profound that there are no words to express its joy and downright bliss. The experience of unconditional love heals depression. It makes you whole and it restores your heart. This is why the healing of depression is a spiritual thing. Unconditional love comes from the highest within you, your spiritual self. Some call it your Great Loving Wise Self. It is the part of you that knows you are loved, innocent, worthy, safe, and whole. How do you have this experience? First by asking for it with all your heart and soul. There is a song I wrote called Show Me The Way. It’s about the cry for an answer that you must make in moments of despair and depression that ignites something within you that leads you to the answer. Sometimes that means finding the right therapist with a psycho/spiritual practice. Whatever, you have the ability to connect with this wonderful part of yourself and have the experience of unconditional love. To know more about how to have this experience read on my website, www.wendyhill.com.
