Hi, I’m Dr. Wendy Hill. Chances are you don’t know about the power of healing and transforming your core beliefs through hypnosis and the tool of regression.

Did you know that traditional therapy can take you just so far? It’s true. Sessions are short (usually only an hour or less.) They typically treat only the symptom. They lack the tools to delve deep enough to address the real cause of the problem.

As a result many people are not satisfied with the results of traditional psychotherapy and are reaching out for a therapy that gets to the real root of whatever challenge they are experiencing. You may be seeking something that is not only deeply transformative but is also compassionate, spiritual, and makes complete sense.

I have been in practice for over forty years and I have seen the dramatic difference between traditional therapy and therapy that addresses the underlying root cause of a problem. I specialize in transforming the subconscious self-defeating beliefs that cause anxiety, depression, broken relationships, and addiction into beliefs that support healthy adult experience. I work with people remotely on Zoom and in person in my office in Encinitas, California.

I would like to share with you the amazing power of hypnotherapy and how regression can transform core beliefs on a deep level and in doing so transform people’s lives and relationships in positive ways.

My work has been influenced by such greats as Carl Jung, Brian Weiss, Joseph Campbell, Carl Rogers, and Milton Erickson both of whom I experienced in-person training.

Hypnosis offers a wonderful altered state of relaxation the allows the mind to accept positive suggestion and the opportunity to travel back in time to heal subconscious wounds. This process of going back in time is called regression.

Our core beliefs, the beliefs we carry deep down in our subconscious mind, are formed early in life and have a profound influence on how we think, feel, and act. Our core beliefs dominate our every waking and sleeping moment.  Positive core beliefs help us to have a happy life. Negative core beliefs create self-defeating patterns of behavior and are the cause of depression, anxiety, addiction, broken relationships, and a myriad of other problems.

Most therapies treat symptoms. They simply don’t have the power to delve deep enough to make a lasting difference. Hypnotherapy and regression offer the opportunity to treat and heal the actual cause of unhappy self-defeating behaviors and emotional problems.

Through the years I have heard repeatedly from clients how in a relatively short period of time they have transformed how they think, feel, and act and how their relationships have improved. Some of these clients had spent years in traditional therapy.

If you would like to know more about how you can help yourself I invite you to contact me for a live Zoom session or an in-person session in my office in Encinitas, California. You can also download one of my self-guided workshops like The True Seeker’s Guide To A Better Life or The Call To Adventure or you can listen to my wisdom-filled audios in Life Lessons. Meanwhile, I am here.

My very best to you, Wendy Hill, Ph.D.

Hypnotherapy Coupled with Psychotherapy Heals

Hypnotherapy administered by a trained certified clinical hypnotherapist and psychotherapist can heal. Wendy Hill, Ph.D. has been helping people resolve their life challenges for over forty years. Her original training with Milton Erickson and Carl Rogers set the basis of her practice. Over the years Dr. Wendy has continued to develop processes and a therapeutic style that is compassionate and effective.

Root causes can be hidden. Your life challenges whether with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, addiction, or the results of childhood abuses, all have very real and tangible causes. With hypnotherapy and psychotherapeutic techniques you can recognize the causes that lie in your past and that may be hidden from your conscious awareness. Conscious awareness of the origins of your life challenge enables you to make the necessary changes.

What Is A Core Belief?

A core belief is your most deeply held belief about yourself and your world. Your core beliefs define your perception of your worthiness, lovability, safety, innocence or guilt, relationships, and competence. Your core beliefs are your deepest convictions of what is true about you and what you can expect of your experience.

Often what you think is causing your current problem may not be the real cause. The subconscious influences of your core beliefs are very powerful. And to make things even more complicated your core beliefs are most often buried in your subconscious.

People often make unhealthy choices and don’t know how to change their behavior. You may feel stuck in your problems. In fact you may not even recognize the power your self-defeating behaviors and attitudes have over you. Those self-defeating behaviors are all an expression of your subconscious core beliefs.

Your conflicting core beliefs may be buried deep in your unconscious mind making them difficult to recognize. Feelings associated with your self-defeating core beliefs of fear, guilt, sadness, shame, or anger can prevent you from understanding or recognizing the truth.

Core Beliefs Form Patterns

Once a core belief is activated and reinforced it creates patterns of thought, feeling, and behavior. For example, a core belief of “I am not loved” may cause a child to withdraw, feel unworthy, and depressed. The child then may develop a secondary defense of over achieving, manipulating, or choosing the wrong kind of relationships.

Your core beliefs dictate how you think, feel, and act. Core beliefs are so powerful that they supersede logic and even the strongest will. Your core beliefs always win. They always get their way. Meditation, prayer, positive affirmations, education, motivational talks all lose their power in the face of a core belief. As long as a core belief is active we are at its mercy.

Why Do Core Beliefs Have Power?

How can a thought be so powerful? How can it defy logic? How can it defy time and new experience? The subconscious mind has no sense of time. This means that subconsciously an experience you had at age four is still happening as though it were happening in the present. Once a core belief is formed it remains forever until it is recognized and transformed. A core belief is held in place by unrecognized and unresolved strong emotion. The emotion is often forgotten and unfelt and held somewhere in the subconscious mind. The emotion is like a strong force field holding a core belief fixed.

What Is the Solution?

A negative or self-defeating core belief can be transformed by identifying the high impact moments and conditions that formed it, seeing it from an entirely new perspective, releasing the emotion that holds it in place, and accepting a new, more helpful belief. Hypnotherapy combined with psychotherapy offer the tools you need to accomplish this.

With the tool of regression a core belief can be revealed to the conscious mind. Then the core belief can be recognized for what it is, the emotions can be released, and a new belief can replace the old one.

Why Can’t I Do This Myself?

This sounds easy like one should be able to do this with just thinking and remembering. However, the subconscious mind protects its secrets carefully. What you consciously think is true may be seen differently by your subconscious mind. Your natural defenses can keep you from seeing reality. You need an experienced objective person to help you uncover your hidden truths.

What Is Regression?

There is a therapeutic shortcut that goes right to the root cause of your conflict and offers you the opportunity to transform yourself in ways you always dreamed? Compassionately. Kindly. Thoroughly. It's called regression. Regression therapy can be the key to your well-being and happiness. It quickly gets to the root or core belief of any dilemma and restores balance, peace of mind, and healthy living choices.

Regression is the act of going back in time to observe and to transform perceptions you made during high impact moments. Regression therapy can take you back as far as the womb in your current life or to a past life.  Regression therapy is a transformative hypnotherapy process where while in the relaxed state of hypnosis you relive selected past experiences just long enough to identify your stressful high impact moments. You will learn how you felt, the decisions you made, and the patterns of behavior that sprang from those decisions. By recovering memory from long lost events and conditions you can grow, heal, mature, change, and upgrade self-defeating core beliefs. Regression therapy can help unearth past experiences lifting barriers or blocks to unhealthy or unproductive thinking and behavior.

Regression Therapy Heals the Past

Everything you are today is a result of everything that has happened to you in the past. How you think, feel, and act in the present has been programmed over time. Reprogramming and upgrading the way you think and feel is important for healthy, happy adult experience.

The purpose of regression is to clearly identify the conflicting high impact events and conditions of your infancy and childhood and to determine how they have affected you. Once you have done this you can communicate with your inner child new perspectives and a better reality. Your inner child is that part of your subconscious mind that is still living in the past. You can suggest to it new ways of thinking, feeling, and doing things. The result is automatic and powerful positive change in your present life. Because of the sensitivity of the inner child this process is life transforming and can only be trusted to a qualified and highly trained hypnotherapist and psychotherapist.

Simply put regression therapy is the act of mentally and emotionally going back and healing past wounds in order to understand and resolve the cause of a current problem.

True Client Story

Bonnie’s self-esteem was extremely low. She could not take a stand for herself and allowed others to intimidate her and make decisions for her. She also had very little memory of her childhood and didn’t believe she could recall anything even with the help of hypnosis. To her amazement during one of her hypnotherapy sessions she regressed back to her experience in the womb. While still an unborn baby she witnessed a conversation between her mother and grandmother. Her grandmother was telling her unmarried mother to adopt out her unborn child, Bonnie. Bonnie’s mother agreed. Though Bonnie didn’t understand the words at the time, she understood the intent of what was being said. She knew that her mother would abandon her. Then and there she made the decision that she was not worth keeping. This decision about herself made in the womb affected her entire life. With the help of Dr. Wendy Hill Bonnie was able to correct that faulty thinking about herself and embrace the truth of her worthiness. Bonnie’s life changed dramatically for the better. She went on to complete a college degree, bought her own home, and entered into an intimate relationship that was supportive and healthy.

Myths About Regression and Hypnotherapy

"It’s scary and I won’t be able to handle what I remember."

In truth, regression therapy with a trained and skilled therapist is emotionally safe. As the adult you are today you can look back and see things with an objective and more mature perspective. You will not do this alone. You will have a competent hypnotherapist, Wendy Hill, Ph.D., guiding you. For many years Dr. Wendy has guided hundreds of people through the processes.

I can’t remember much of anything about my childhood so what good will it do?

With hypnosis guided regression therapy your mind will automatically show you what you need to remember. You will not have to try to remember with your conscious mind. Your subconscious mind will offer you what you need to know. Dr. Wendy will teach you how to do this.

No therapy has been able to help me.

Most therapies only treat symptoms. Regression therapy is unique and powerful in its results because it addresses the root cause of the problem with hypnosis.

I might see or remember something that might upset me or that I’m not ready to see or remember.

Your mind will show you only that which you are ready and able to deal with. Hypnotherapy is a safe therapeutic process that will enable you to deal with your past at a rate and in a time that is appropriate for you.

I will be one of those people who can’t be hypnotized or regress.

Everyone can be hypnotized and everyone can regress. It is natural. The key is having a desire to heal and a willingness to participate in the treatment process. Dr. Wendy will help you overcome any blocks to regression.

My fear will keep me from being doing this.

Most fears are based on irrational emotional thinking and can be demystified easily. Your fears can be used as a springboard to healing. They are actually the opening door to healing.
